World's Coolest NWA Model

Tue Jan 14, 2003 9:47 am

I live in Minnesota, about 10 minutes from the Mall of America. And for all of you that've been there around Camp Snoopy, there is a NWA 747-400 model hanging from the ceiling that has to be at least 25 feet long! It's very detailed, and in the World color scheme? I'll try to get a pic here, has anyone else seen it!? It's amazing!!!

That sounds cool! I've only been to the Mall of America once, and that was when I had a 4 hour layover at MSP. I don't remember seeing that 747, though. It's probably been added since I was there last (I think it was 1998).

I didn't really notice that it was dirty. I would imagine that it'd be extremely hard to clean that aircraft, probably not worth all the effort!

LOL! Like the joke about Air France! But yeah, next time look, I think it's really really dust and dirty, unless they've actually cleaned it... BTW... Have you ever been to the NWA store on the first floor? They have those really cool models, I was gonna buy one but they are so expensive!
