How Do You Display Your Aircraft Models..

Fri May 16, 2003 8:01 am

hey everyone,

just wondering how you all display airplane models, action figures, ect. in whatever room you display them in.
pics would be great, but even a description of how you display them is cool. just tryin to get some ideas myself on how to display mine, but also interested in seeing how others do it.
thanks.

p.s. i know i posted this in 'non-aviation' but i forgot that i could have posted it here too

I have my models on my dresser and on top of my stereo...for a few of them whose real life aircraft that Ive flown on Ive put a little index card detailing the flights Ive taken on that type of aircraft...

Here is part of my livingroom. I call my wall "Wall of Heavies" I was trying add more of my pictures on the wall but my girlfriend went nuts hehehe
Couple of models AA MD80 with TWA titles, MetroJet 732, Midway 737-700 and World MD-11. I have much more models in my bedroom, but it was too messy to show it to the world. hehehe

On tables, dressers, on top of my PC, etc.; WHEREVER I can find room! I'm running out of it-those 1/100 and larger scale models sure take up space! Soon, I'll HAVE to start suspending them from the ceiling!

Personally I put them in a show case (that is whenever I get around to finishing them!).

But if you want to make your models go twice as far (so to speak) and only require half the space needed to display I have heard that some people make up only half a kit in one scheme and mount it on a back board and the other half ("travelling" or pointing the other way) in another scheme and mount it on a back board as well.
