I should add that it really depends on your machine too. If you have an older machine then the sddr 2 memory wont do you a lick of good. If you have a newer machine (one being less then 6 months old) then you should be ok with the sddr ram. The sddr ram however in my opinion isnt all that Radeon made it cracked up to be.
Plus, make sure you have at least Microsoft 98SE and at least 256 mb of Ram when buying a new card.
Also its very important what type of slot you have on your computer whether it is an AGP
or PCI slot. The Front of the card will tell you which type it is for example a card reading "9800XT AGP
" Will ONLY work for an AGP
slot on your CPU. (AGP
slot it should be noted is usually a brownish colored slot inside your cpu) If you DO
NOT have an AGP
slot or your unsure, open the computer up and check the slots at the very bottom of the tower. If the 3rd slot from the bottom is brown then its AGP
