Reverse Thrust In FS2004

Tue Feb 17, 2004 7:33 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a problem, and I'm hoping someone will generously give me some advice! In FS2004 I cannot use reverse thrust in any of my planes. I am using the CH Products USB Yoke and Pedals, and I have tried many ways, but I just cant seem to be able to set my Throttle lever to go into reverse thrust whilst in the usual idle position.

If I press the default F2 key, the Flight Sim seems to fight between reverse thrust input from the keyboard and the idle position from my Yoke. Any ideas on how I can get the bottom 1/5 say of my throttle axis to be reverse thrust?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, no experience with a yoke, but is the throttle calibrated properly? I had a similar problem with my joystick and the throtle lever needed calibrating, as it was giving a slight throttle input at its fully retracted position.

Regards,
Craig.

I read somewhere that it is possible to have your throttle calibrated to go into reverse when you want it to. You have to go to your calibration settings then go to set up the throttle. When it asks you to move it up and down several times, only come down 4/5ths of the way leaving 1/5 then go back up to full throttle again. This way FS thinks that idle throttle is 4/5, when you bring the throttle down all the way it goes into reverse.

Sorry that might seem a bit confusing - I'll try and find the article on the internet.
