Ifdg 757 Problem

Wed Jun 16, 2004 11:01 pm

Hi all,
I just downloaded a US Airways 757 from Avsim, and when trying it out for the first time, came over this problem(may have been my fault instead of the model). When pushing back from Manchester, stopping the pushback, the a/c flipped onto its back and ended up as a crash.
Now, I think it may have been my fault, as I think I left the brakes on during pushback, but this doesnt happen with other a/c that I have so, anyone any ideas?

This happened to me once, but with a Cessna (don't ask why a Cessna was being pushed back), and it fell onto it's tail. I think this was because it was a light aircraft.

Maybe the plane you downloaded, in the .cfg file, they might of got the weight wrong.

Just an idea

Easy solution for ya:

POSKY 757

Compared to POSKY, the IFDG 757 is kinda crappy. Dump all your IFDG 757's now and upgrade to POSKY. The only thing is that the POSKY's do not have wing flex, but everything else is better including descent airspeed control. You will no longer have to descend with full speed brakes...

I thought I was the only one having a problem with airspeed control on the
IFDG 757!

Don't set the parking brake, take it off b4 you push back.

Don't touch the brakes when you hit "shift-p" the second time to stop the aircraft, it'll stop on it's own.

When in spot-plane view mode (more so than cockpit view), you can run across the invisible bumps(gliches) which cause enough stress to the aircraft to make it crash, especially in heavies.

I have the same aircraft model and airline; no problems ever.

Are the iFDG A320's okay?

It was the pbrake. Release it before pushback, set it after pushback.

POSKY is the best 57 out there.

I don't like the A320 from IFDG... no realistic flight model at all!

I love the IFDG a320, a321, md11, I get smoke on touchdown with all of them. You must put the smoke.fx in the effects folder to make it work.

Yeah I remember thant before the POSKY 757's came out for FS2004, i would use the IFDG 757 and when on takeoff, the plane would climb very steep. The POSKY 757 is great and so is the IFDG MD-11 and the 767!!!!

Now the IFDG 767,,, Its a good plane but the visual model is not accurate. The engines are too small and the curveture at the forward base of the tail fin is less like a 767 and more like a NG737, and that stupid flag that shoots out of the roof... Oh yeah, the ailerons are reversed in operation on the -200, -400 still after they made a fix for the -300. It does have wingviews which is lacking on the POSKY's so being the slave to wingviews that I am, I use IFDG's...

I used to leave the parking brake on during Pushback and when I'd stop the nose would lift up then slam down again but it never crashed or was significant enough to crash. I turn the brakes off before I P/B and turn them on afterwards.

O/T - When do you guys start your engines?

I use the POSKY 757s but thats because I was brought up with the FFG models which are no longer avaliable (A shame because they had a Flying Colours which would look good on an updated model). I didn't like the IFDG 767s, but I love their Airbus aircraft very much.

iFDG have amazing aircraft, and I love them with the expetions of the 757 & 767, where POSKY definatley kicks iFDG's ass. the A3xx series so far are really good and the MD-11 was also really good, I cant wait till they realease the new one.

Opensky doesn't even have wing textures in it's 767 models, IFDG wins but i have to admit the textures are nice.
