How To Build An Airport

Mon Jun 21, 2004 5:04 am

Ok, on Herpa's website i can find tons of cool things to build an airport, but what do I get? There are tons of different terminal buildings, and such, but what do I get first to start a terminal that could be expanded? Also where can I get a base, with runway, taxiways etc. to base the terminal on?

If anyone has built an airport using these herpa products, please let me know!

Everyone makes a Herpa airport. It's boring. I made both of mine and a display from scratch.

I know a Herpa airport is boring, but it is my first, so I'd prefer something easier first, then I can move on to making my own.

Hi!

I've found these great foils on eztoys.com. There are three seperate parts, and i think I may get 2 of each so i can a 2 runways and 2 terminals. Just one question I have is what Herpa terminal section do I use? I don't want anything fancy, just a straight terminal building, but as many jetways as possible. I'm thinking of having 1 terminal intercontinental, and the other short haul.

Check out the Diecast Aircraft Forums. These folks are pros. And they'll answer all your questions.

Too bad frenchjets was one of the good ones. It seems all of the newbies are coming out with boxes scribbled on with markers.

Since I have Schabak's 1:600 models (blaaaaaa Acting devilish) I use LEGO's. It's rather crap, and I used an old desk with chalk for markings. I'm horrible.  Crying
