MFS2004 Instruments

Im not concerned about the controls of the aircraft or anything like that because i know its not close to the real experiance. However how realistic is flying a basic cross country flight IFR and then finishing with an ILS. Flying a FS ILS, tuning into the NAV Radios and vectors, is it pretty close to how its done in reality?
Cleared for the option...

Close enough.
I used to fly IFR with real world weather before the same flight I would take in real life. Checking the times, intersections, frequencies and WX, it was pretty close, even the ETA and fuel burn were almost perfect. I would say it really helped me get my instrument rating back in the day, to the extent of getting the procedures down. Flying the airplane IS very different of course! What do you (people in general) expect to find when going from your air conditioned leather seated quiet PC to the real deal?!
