Solarix - a very hot day at DXB? Amazing shot!

GKirk, keep it up, I like the wing view. Is that Newcastle? I recognise the shape of the terminal building. Nice shots everyone.

Pelican is the A319 freeware?

And a question for all:

Does somebody know where I could find a good A320 panel for FS 2002(freeware)?I checked flightsim and avsim.

I use Eric Marciano's panel which I'm very happy with. You can get it here:

Q330:

This panel is great but you have to order something( a shareware program I think) over the internet and I'm not sure if that is safe(to order by credit card)

What is it that it says you have to buy? I've gotten mine working fully without buying anything.

As far as I know you have to register(and pay) the gauges for the Navdata package otherwise they won't work. How did you install the panel?
My gauges don't work properly (PFD and the gauge with engine and fuel information)

Nope, the good news is that the new version of Nav Data (which works with FS2000, 2002, and 2004) is now available for free download. Get it here:

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/tony.dambrosio/news.htm
(click on "Download Navigation Data v2.0.2")

About the gauges not working right...I'm not sure.  Confused I think this is a common problem so I'll see if I can find the answer.

-Q

Edit: I don't know why I didn't think of it before but you have to download a patch to fix a major bug in the panel. Get it here:

http://emarciano.flightsimmer.com
(scroll down to the news entry for 15-Nov-2003)

Quite pleased with this one. I had the idea of flying across the Antarctic, from McMurdo Sound to King George's Island (SCRM, Isla Rey Jorge). That route takes you pretty well over the South Pole - it takes careful planning to make sure you arrive in daylight.

Seeing the dawn come up at Latitude 87 degrees South made it all worthwhile  Smile Apart from anything else it meant that I'd got the time right and I'd be able to see to land! Aeroplane is the 'Mid-Atlantic Air Museum' B25 Mitchell.

I used to use Eric Marciano's panel before switching to PSS. I think it's the best freeware one out there, I remember being very impressed that it had an autoland facility.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

The water is done in photoshop. Simply take a duplicate of your screenshot, rotate it vertically and then make it transparent. Cut off the excess and give the layer some ocean effect to give it the waves.

FlyingKangaroo - DXB is from FlyTampa (payware). You can find it at SimMarket.com

BMIFlyer - The WIII scenery can be found in FlightSim.com under the filenames: wiii.zip and wiii01.zip for the update.

FS is awesome! I can safely say that I am an addict.

My 737-800 Pegasus ready for boarding from Skiathos LGSK. I had to make a sharp turn to avoid that piper!!!

In my descent as my title shows, at 20000 feet and got 18% of fuel left. Not bad calculations by my Fuel planner!

About to intercept the localizer for runway 3 left at Ankara. Fantastic view of the city and a good view of the 737NG panel.

More pictures taken by myself can be found at and search for David Potter.

Thanks Dave Big grin

1. You need a site which hosts your screenshot like http://photobucket.com/

2. In your post, include the following code where you want the image to appear:
img src="http://www.yourimagehost.com/somedir/yourimage.jpg"

don' forget <and >

where "www.yourimagehost.com" is the Internet server where you uploaded your image, "somedir" is the directory on that server where your image is located and "yourimage.jpg" is the image file itself. Complicated? It can be if you are new to the Internet, ask your child/grandchild/local computer guru for more detailed info.

TRijetfan1,
To take a screenshot follow these instructions:
1.Open paint shop pro.
2.Go to file.
3.Click import.
4.Click screen capture.
5.Go to setup.
6.Look at the hot key(it should be F11).
7.Click capture now.
8.Go to FS and pinck the hot key(this will automaticly take you to paint shop pro with screenshot on it)
You will have to do this every time you want to take one.
Happy flying!!

How do you get screenshots?

1. Just press the print button on your keyboard while you're running FS.
2. Open a program like paint shop or MS photo editor.
3. Click import
That's it.

Nice screenshots everybody. Kaz's Fokker is the first one I've seen for FS. My weather looked like Kaz's when I had real weather on once...and tried to take off in Hurricane Frances in a Cessna 172 at FLL.  Laugh out loud I took off on the right runway & landed (sideways) on the left one.

Let me chime in ...

Just finished a four-leg flight for vfedex ending in Diego Garcia (FJDG). Here is the approach and landing sequence of FJDG. Hope you enjoy.  Smile

Lined up for rwy. 13.

Quite a nose down attitude.  Wink/being sarcastic It says, "Don't mess with me!"

This pix shows it better.

Just short of landing.

Over the threshold.

Touch down.

Hope you enjoyed it. Currently I am enroute to Kuwait; landing in about two hours.  Smile
