Repainting *Queries*

Sun Oct 24, 2004 12:35 pm

Hey guys, i had tried repainting Meljet's 777 on photoshop directly and when i launched FS2004 the paint wasn't there, itsead it was the base-white.
I also have DXT-bmp program, but it seems confusing. Do i have to use DXT-bmp to convert the image first then send it to the editor???

Also, do i load the paintkit as an Extended image, Normal image, DDS image or Targa with Alpha???
Do i save it as 24bit, Targa, DDS.

Also, can anyone advise me on other programs that work better for me to repaint a/c...
Now you're really flying

Photoshop's pretty much a good program to use. I always start by taking the bitmaps that I'm going to paint and converting them into Targa files (use DXT-bmp for this). Then, I open them as Targas, paint them, and save them as Targas. The last step is to convert them back into bitmaps.
