Buying Old Airline Seats

Thu Nov 04, 2004 5:40 am

Does anyone know where i can get some old airline seats from (not too old though!)? I remember someone on a.net said something about a pair of old cathay seats.

Try looking on eBay. Quite often I see airliner seats up for sale there--from 747s and other types of aircraft. Most often, they are first- or business-class seats (which come in pairs). All the seats I've seen are from private sellers who got them off aircraft. And, all the seats I've seen are in very nice condition (new or near-new). (Shipping is kind of expensive, though).

Good luck on your search!

There are some 747 seats being auctioned on eBay right now.

Doubles - item # 2282161444

Triples - item # 2282161543

Quads - item # 2282161685

Just enter the item number in the eBay search window and you'll find them.
Maybe someone else can set up a link, I can't get the link HTML to work right now...
Price is kind of high, but might be a good deal for someone close to Texas where the seats are located, to save on shipping costs. The seller claims to be "an airplane interior shop", so this might be a good find for other a.net members looking for aircraft seats as well.

i bought 3 sets of a 767 from someone on ebay that works for ABX. They removed them when they convert them over to cargo... Mine came off an Ana airlines,,they come in handy around the house and good conversation pieces.. the covers are attached by velcro and can come off an be washed... but you need to put something underneath because the tracks can cut into your floor
i can see for 80 miles
