UPS Model Planes: Who Makes Them?

Sat Nov 06, 2004 3:31 am

Greetings,

I tried doing a search on UPS model planes on this forum and came up with nothing.

Who makes scale models of UPS (United Parcel Service) planes? I know they exist because I saw some at the Airline Expo. Show at BOS last week. Unfortunately, I did not carry a lot of cash with me and not all the vendors present accepted credit cards.

I tried Herpa, Gemini Jets, Dragon Models and Flight Miniatures and didn't find anything. I even tried UPS' web site but couldn't find anything modelwise.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

For the 767-300, check out http://www.airplaneshop.com/ and the 757 can be found here http://www.adamjets.com

Also for a couple of special schemes for the 767's check this place out http://www.collectiblejets.com/

Also try out www.airlinemuseum.com they are quite a bit cheaper than "The Airplane Shop and tend to have a larger selection. You should check it out.

FRAspotter, I just checked that airlinemuseum website. They do not carry any UPS planes from any model manufacturer. Thanks anyway.

Check out the UPS Diecast Store: http://www.theupsdiecaststore.com under Corporate Express - UPS. They have the MD-11, 757-200, & 767-300.

If you are coming to LGA Airliners Show I will have a few UPS models from Gemini Jets (1:400). By the way, I was at BOS Show also.

Thanks Aviationwiz,

That website is what I was primarily looking for. A supplemental question, here; does anyone know if any UPS 747 models were made? Does anybody make or sells UPS model planes (any type) in the old livery?

If you are coming to LGA Airliners Show I will have a few UPS models from Gemini Jets (1:400). By the way, I was at BOS Show also.

Ming, unfortunately, I will not be able to make the LGA show; I pretty much have every weekend booked with prior commitments between now and New Years. With regards to the BOS show (from my initial post):

I know they exist because I saw some at the Airline Expo. Show at BOS last week. Unfortunately, I did not carry a lot of cash with me and not all the vendors present accepted credit cards.

Since the BOS show was the first one I attended, I primarirly went with the intent of browsing to see what was available. While I did carry some cash with me, I spent most of it buying some of Tappan's photos and calendar.
