Problem With Install HKG Airport

Sun Dec 12, 2004 3:39 pm

I know how to install HKG airport for the FS 2004 after I read "readme.txt". But the problem is "scenery.cfg".

Do I have to open .cfg file? After I clicked it, i was told to choose which software/program to open this file. Should I clicked "Word Pad"? Is it safe?

I'd take care, smoke may start pouring from your PC if you screw this up  Big grin

Just kidding. Its 100% fine. Open up the scenery.cfg file with Wordpad, and enter the text which you began to enter at the start of the last message. Remember to look at the last entry's [Area.xxx] and add 1 to the xxx part, eg. if its 039, your new entry should be 040.

Hope this helps, just ask if you need more help....

Hey Ian,

Thank you very much for helping me! It's fine now.

Ok! I have successfully installed HKG in FS2004. I saw a photo that has passenger bridge/jetways around the airport. But I cannot find them in FS.

Thanks

Try to increase your scenery complexity settings. This should add more detail and hence the jetways (it will lower your FPS however).
