Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments! Big grin

I just landed at CDG (finally was able to finish the flight). I took lots of screenshots. Unfortunately, I had not opened FSScreen...  banghead  so I was only able to save the last one...

More shots soon!

Next up Paris - St Denis de la Reunion

Bernd provided me with a great website which has links (mostly to flightsim and Avsim) with sceneries from all the world! The CDG scenery is from FS France and it's called Real CDG. I also got RUN scenery from them called Gillot2003. CDG did not affect my framerates by much (at the most it wen't down from 18fps to 14fps). DXB really brought them down to about 5fps which suck. Not all airports have the service armada, just a few and only in a number of gates, but there is a guide for that. I'm running on a P4 @ 3GHZ with 512MB RAM and a 64MB video card (and trying to save some $ to get a 128MB). What are your specs?

It is very good considering it's freeware. It does slow it down to 7fps, but I'll be getting a new video card soon so it should get better

Thanks Bernd! Always nice to hear those words from a Pro!  wink

The scenery is Real CDG and can be found here

The coolest thing is that you can download the scenery as it looks today (in 2004, actually) or if you want to go retro (and Bernd, I know you do) you can download a scenery from what CDG looked in 1974!

Oh, and no effect on framerates!

I saw your "retro corner" thread and saw that you are enjoy CDG back in '74. I wish more scenery developers would do that. Kudos to FsFrance for those great two projects!

Taking the old iron out for a spin from a "vintage" airport scenery makes it even more fun!!!
