Official Screenshot Thread

Thu May 26, 2005 10:55 pm

Here is the official thread for the posting and discussion of screenshots. Please consolidate all such efforts here and refrain for starting new threads or continuing old ones. Once this thread becomes too large, it will be archived and a new thread created. Pictures must be posted in a thumbnail format according to the guide:

http://www.airliners.net/discussions/aviation_hobby/read.main/69864/

We hope this new format works out well for all involved, especially our users on slower, non-broadband connection. We'd like to extend our thanks to Gkirk, QR332, and N754AN for their various contributions to this plan.

Enjoy!
Please use moderators@airliners.net to contact us.

Descending south of Lake Okeechobee

Over South Beach

Turning on final for Visual rwy26 (Weird! Plus they renumbered the rwys but I haven't d/l the update)

SoBe

Intracoastal

A bit high on the approach

Downtown

One of my fav cities in the world!

No touchdown pics... the landing was terrible!!!

Slowing her down

Gate 3, Concourse F

A nice lineup. You can tell the diff b/w the models: CO (UT) vs. AS (Aardvark)

Firstly, a big thank you to the moderators for their co-operation in resolving the seemingly ongoing screenshot disputes of recent times, so this bunch of goodies is for them!!

Operating Qantas shuttle flight 183 from Heathrow - Manchester

Icelandair 455 lined up on 27R at Heathrow with the late flight to Keflavik

Just arrived at Keflavik's terminal.

Next morning, Iceair 450 back to London Heathrow climbing out of Runway 02.

Almost at a cruising altitude of FL350.

G-BPEC operating Speedbird 986 Heathrow - Berlin (TXL) departing 27R.

On approach at Berlin.

Berlin ground.

Retracting gear on climbout back to Heathrow, Speedbird 987.

Gear up, nice climb.

Right turn back towards London.

BA987 from Berlin on final approach to Heathrow's 27L.

Taxiing past Terminal 3 after arrival, as usual T3 is dominated by the heavies!

Malaysian's "Hibicus" can be seen parked on the left of the picture.

Another heavy from the far East.

And the gorgeous Gulf Air A330's...

Nearly at her Terminal 1 gate...

Finally parked at gate 181.

More to come shortly...

After a long flight overnight from Heathrow, Air Seychelles B767-300 at Seychelles (Mahe) Airport awaiting departure of HM055 to Mauritius.

Just getting airborne off Runway 13.

The runway turn-off you can see I made on AFCAD to eliminate the need to turn around on the runway itself to save a few seconds!

Turning towards Mauritius after departure.

Wing view on approach.

Almost there...

Nice smokey touchdown!

Taxiing to the gate.

HM054 Mauritius - Seychelles.

Bernd,

Could you explain to me how to post more than one shot on one line, because the thread is going to become very long very quickly and I'd rather be posting a few shots per line than just the one!

Thanks,

Hi Chris!!!

Quoting N754AN (Reply 7):
Could you explain to me how to post more than one shot on one line

Sure thing!!!

As you might know, I am lazy and use imageshack to host my shots...
They offer the complete code to paste them into forum threads...so I simply add one picture-code after the other...and then I begin a new line....  Wink  Wink

Dreamer asked if could group my shots, so the post wouldn't become too long...and that's how I did it... Big grin

My Flesland is payware off Scandinavian Airports2, however there is a nice package called norwegain airports that you can get from avsim called norap2004_2.zip they also have other norwegian goodies just search for norway airports for AFCADs and many airports.

Hi Stefano!!!!

That West MD-81 can be found on flightsim.com...and the filename is:
wesmd82.zip

Glad you enjoyed it.....!!!!
The ai traffic is "My Traffic 2004" by Aerosoft. It works great..anywhere but the US...IMHO it doesn't generate enough traffic in the US.

@ UA772IAD:
When uploading a picture to imageshack, there is a small link to click that says: remove status-bar ( or something like that..!!!)....simply click it and the pictures will be loaded without it!!!!

Since the pictures didn't work in my last screenshot thread, I will repost them here:

QR A332 Landing at DOH, on final over the small coastal town of Al-Wakrah:

On short final, a bit too high:

Almost down, with two A332s parket at the maintanance area:

Touchdown, with brakes applied:

Now for some GF shots at BAH. These are also shots of the A332.

Preparing for pushback, with a GF B763 pushing back and an impressive lineup of GF aircraft and a single EY aircraft:

The A330 taxiing in its full glory. It is definatly one of the most beautiful aircarft in the skies, especially with the GF livery:

Holding short for takeoff behind an A320:

Takeoff, with the beautiful waters of the Arabian Gulf in the background:

Another shot showing how beautiful this aircraft is, and it even has RR engines, an added bonus Big grin :

HOONS,

LooneyToons,

Esas fotos estan excellentes! Show some more!

Matt,

Those shots look awesome! Esp the NZ LOTR plane!

I was wondering if some of you (Chris, QR332, et al) could post a tutorial as to how to edit the shots in photoshop. Mine look like crap (esp since I still haven't bought a new video card).

Affirm, yes it was a visual approach, however its not a diffucult approach, its fun! As a pilot I was speaking to not to long ago, he has recently moved over here and is flying I believe for BA, not to certain but I think he said because he made a joke about staying in one world, but he used to fly for Cathay and said that the approach into Kai Tak wasnt diffucult, it was fun!

However, in heavy gusts of winds hail and 100m visibility it could be classed diffucult but he think he meant when the weather was nice :P.

Hi guys, good to see you all posting loads!

I cant comment on any at present as my stupid internet wont allow me to view any Imageshack ones in large size for some reason. I have turned all pop-up blockers off and firewalls and rebooted about 6 times but it still wont let me view them.

Bizarrely works ok for photobucket though!

Any suggestions?
