Screenshots-Flightsim Bloopers And Screwups

Tue Aug 02, 2005 9:30 am

Lately we have been seeing tons of great screenshots from FlightSim. They are all great, but I would also like to see some not-so-great shots. I would also love to hear your stories telling what happened. Got a spectacular crash? Let's see it. Gear got stuck? Cool. All pics are welcome. If I screw up I will get pics myself. The wilder the better.  eyepopping

Since I am new to the game, I am still trying to master it's controls. Lately I am trying to figure out just how accurate the game is when I try to fly a Boeing 777 from Philly out to the ocean and barely get it in the air when lightly tapping the up or down arrow key sends it into a fit of flying upside down randomly and then it nose dives right into the ground... I'm sure a plane that carries as many passengers, fuel, and passenger cargo as it does in real life goes haywire like that :p

still trying to figure out what I am doing wrong with it that it does that...

Flight Sim pretty much can't be played effectively without a joystick or a yoke. I had the exact same problem with the planes being unflyable like that when I first started. I picked up a multifunction joystick, plugged it in, uploaded the software that came with it, and it was a whole new experience.

Oh Yeah, i'm a great pilot. I can't say how many times I'll land about 50 feet short of the runway, or land far right of the actual runway, take out the landling lights, and wind up in the grass. I'm an A++ pilot. And once I was taxiing out and took out a 737-400's tail.
What now?

I know, a shitty pic, but you get the point if ya look close enough.
