AFCAD2 Files Not Showing Up - Help!

Sun Sep 25, 2005 5:47 am

Title says it all.

I've downloaded several AFCAD2 files from the internet, and followed the installation instructions precisely. All files are in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder.

However, when I go to add the files to FlightSim, I can only add the Addon Scenery folder, not the Addon Scenery/scenery folder. I went ahead and did that, and made it the highest priority, but FS still does not recognize any of the AFCAD2 files.

Help me, please!!

That's exactly where they are! But I see nothing in flight sim but the stock airport slots.

You won't see them because once they are put into the FS9 addonscenery/scenery folder, the change automatically takes place.

After you have placed them into the addon scenery/scenery folder do the following:

Open AFCAD
Type the airport ID eg: EDDF
Press "Search"
If Your airport shows up with a "Mod" and a "Stock" option select the "Mod" option and press ok to see your 'new' airport layout.

Hey presto there you have it  Smile

I understand that, but for one reason or another, FS would not use the new AFCAD2 files, but always used the stock ones.

However, I am very happy to report that I found a fix!!!

I went into the master scenery.cfg file, and wrote a new Area covering all the addon scenery/scenery files (all my downloaded AFCAD2's). As soon as I did that, they appeared automatically.

Thank you all, and happy flying!
