The Official Screenshot Thread - V17

Tue Jan 24, 2006 3:41 pm

Okay, V16 was taking more than 15 seconds to completely load (on cable internet), so I'll take the charge and Get V17 rolling.

Same rules as the last 16 threads, THUMBNAILS ONLY, anything other than thumbnails will be deleted by the wonderful mods of this board.

This round turned out incredibly well. Went from Salt Lake City, UT to Portland, OR. Decided to do DAL/Skywest since this IS a Delta Hub.

Delta Airlines #5832
KSLC - KPDX
Canadair RJ 200ER

Enjoy'em yall

Luck? It took 3 months of being broker than a hobo to get this system, and it's still sub-par as far as the TOP gaming systems go  Sad

Oh well, it gets me 30+fps basically everywhere in FS9, so I aint gonna complain.

Gotta be honest, I couldnt find any fault with it whatsoever! But the flight I provided pics for was a positioning flight of just 32nm, so i took off the weight of the absent pax, and went with about 10% fuel, and as I pushed back at FUE, the nose went up in the air! So i promptly added a bit of weight to the aircraft!

Erm, probably not! I have a 737 sound package which kicks out a lot of racket which i use on all my 737 classics. That does the job for me. The only aircraft I insist on having the correct sounds for are 757's and 777's  Silly

The first pic was taken during Lanzarote - Bournemouth flight...
Jet2 shots were taken on landing at Brittany, a test flight from Bournemouth...
and the final 2 shots are of LN-KKV, Norwegian's new addition to their fleet. This aircraft was acquired from Easyjet, and has still to recieve the full paintwork on the tail. (Which I shall do at some point soon!)

Aircraft: Airbus A330-223 (HB-IQK, Allalinhorn)
Flight number: LX401
Departure Airport: Dublin/Collinstown Airport, Ireland (DUB/EIDW)
Destination: Zürich (Kloten) Airport, Switzerland (ZRH/LSZH)
Departure time: 11:35
Arrival time: 14:40

Flight 2: A short hop from GRU to GIG.

Airline: Varig Logística S.A. (Varig Log)
Aircraft: Boeing 727-41(F) (PP-VLD)
Flight number: LC9053
Departure Airport: São Paulo/Guarulhos (Cumbica) International Airport, São Paulo (GRU/SBGR)
Destination: Rio de Janeiro/Galeão (António Carlos Jobim) International Airport, Rio de Janeiro (GIG/SBGL)

Arrival time: 08:45

And finally a few Randoms of a KE A330 on its way to RW 35L at ICN.

Hey Aaron, yes they are set to the max i know they look crap the thing is I totally messed up because first cropped them from 1280X1040 to 800x750 and then back and that streched the pic. because i didnt know what size to use for imageshack.

Later on I will post some shots wich will properly be cropped.

I managed to get 3 pic that i didnt mess up onto virtual.planepictures.net

I'll be releasing it on AVSIM as soon as I make my own engine tex's or get the permissions for those ones.

P.S. You have to put the panel and the sound because they aren't there yet.
And you will have to replace lufthansa's textures by Cathay Pacific's textures.

I know this was aimed at the other Aaron, but I got some advice: Don't resize or crop or edit or do ANYTHING to your shots, just paste it into the program yer using and save it!

By the way, your screen resolution is 1280x1024, not 1280x1040.

hey Aaron thanks for the advice with the editing i have 1 question when i make the screenshot, it just look perfect thanks to my great pc, but I use FS screen and it makes them as .bmp format changing the file from a bmp. to a jpeg it makes the size from 3.45 mb to 200kb this totally kills the quality of the picture! so what should i do?

Cheers Leo

All of my screenshots are .jpg files. I use Adobe Photoshop 7 to save all of my screenshots, so I have the ability to adjust the quality of the .jpg file.

I'm sure there are a few other - more widely available - photo editing programs that you could possibly use to save your screenshots.

Hi Ben!

For all my scenery I'm searching on www.avsim.net and to take screenshots while flying you only have to press the print screen tab located in the top right corner of your keyboard.
