Your Current FS Flights V2

Thu Feb 16, 2006 4:55 pm

The previous topic took already 20 seconds to load with all the over 170 responses.
Your Current FS Flights (by Qantas744ER Jun 18 2005 in Aviation Hobby)

So let's continue here.  Smile

Flight SR125 has been postponed until I finally learn how to land an A330 all over again. It's been ages since I landed one as perfect as possible. FRA-SVO is still a possibility, however one flight I'll definitely do is with with PH-MCH, Prins Constantijn, in Martinair OC from Havana to Schiphol (just ignore the fact that in real life PH-MCH is actually painted in new colours  Wink).

Airline: Martinair
Aircraft: Boeing 767-31AER (PH-MCH, Prins Constantijn)
Flight number: MP618
Departure Airport: La Habana/José Martí International Airport, Cuba (HAV/MUHA)
Destination: Amsterdam/Schiphol Airport, The Netherlands (AMS/EHAM)
Departure time: 17:15
Arrival time: 08:20
Cruise speed: Mach .80
Cruise altitude: 37000 feet
Estimated time on route: 9 hours 5 minutes

Flightplan: MUHA SID TADPO G448 MTH B646 FOWEE A301 ZBV BR69V ZFP AR24 DIW J174 ORF J209 SAWED J121 KALDA J174 HTO J55 BOS J575 TUSKY N63B VIXUN NATU BABAN UN544 DEVOL UL975 WAL UM16 DOLAS UL603 LAMSO STAR EHAM

NAT Track NATU: LOGSU 49N050W 51N040W 53N030W 54N020W DOGAL BABAN

I got the flightplan from the free Routefinder, so it might not be the best or most realistic flightplan. I do hope that I'll get to land on the Kaagbaan though. Big grin

Here's the equipment to be used:

My latest flight is flying around Australia in the A380.

So far Adelaide-Melbourne, Melbourne-Hobart, Hobart-Sydney.

I will try to fly it under the Sydney Harbour bridge, if I do it without crashing it I will post a screenshot.

I have managed to do it. Here are the screenshots.

Currently doing:

Emirates 406
Dubai to Auckland via Melbourne.

A bloody long flight!

This flight is operated by the Airbus A340-500, but as we are all still waiting for IFDG to take their finger out from wherever they stuck them and release the model, I will be using the B777-300 for this flight.

Today it is the job of A6-EMU (a.k.a Totally gorgeous!)

I have just started an overnight "marathon" flight from Lisbon - Hong Kong, in an Airbus A340-300. I copied this flight data below from the sim just as I was levelling off at 33,000ft, our initial cruising altitude.

The takeoff roll from Lisbon's runway 03 was ENORMOUSLY long. I went right over the opposite threshold nearly scraping the gear in the dirt and had to rotate a few knots early. Oh the joys of the A340....  Smile

I just did KSFO to KDEN in my PMDG 747-400 with United colors:

Here is a picture of the cockpit during the descend to KDEN.

and from outside the aircraft:

On approach to KDEN with the AUTOLAND on.. I was just controlling the speed. Nice crosswind effect!

and here touching down on the runway with the AUTOLAND on. I am currently experimenting with it... very smooth landing, but still with some nice smoke!

I am about 30 mins away from attempting a 10,718nm non-stop flight from Christchurch (New Zealand) to London Heathrow, in the Boeing 777-200LR Dreamliner, Routing over LAX.

I am scheduled for 12:00 midday departure, landing the same day (although approx 22 hours later) at Heathrow around 21:00.

I'm hoping that 100% fuel and no other payload will see me through the entire trip, although diversionary airports are planned beforehand and will come into force if neccessary.

Hi Richard  Smile

Are you using some kind of program to create all of these flightplans?! Seems pretty good...could you point me in the right direction?

No, just the FS2004 flight planner, but I take time to edit them carefully! I find it does the job well. The flight data you can see on my flight reports is from FSPassengers, the add on which logs your flights with "virtual" passengers on them. It doesn't help you plan flights but it basically measures your skill at flying, how many errors you made etc... and you get certain points for it (and earn money). Here's its website : www.fspassengers.com

I just go onto google and find maps of Asia, China, etc...and pick out the cities, if I don't know ICAO codes then I research the airport names on various websites. You could call it the "hard way", but it always gets me to my destination correctly

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help with flight planning software, maybe I should look into some sometime.

I'm not gonna make it to Heathrow direct, I am running low on fuel now (Currently 13%) and I am unsure that will get me across the Atlantic so I am diverting to Goose Bay, Newfoundland... will stick some more fuel on and get back on my way to LHR.

Yah, I had a headwind for the first 5-6 hours which didnt help, and I was flying at FL370 for that period, climbing to FL400 thereafter. At the point of typing this, I have been airborne for 17 hours and 39 minutes! My longest so far! WOOHOO!  rotfl

Don't crash land! I once did a 20hour flight in real time, and overshot the runway (which was 10,000ft+ long) on arrival! For shame!  ashamed

Just landed 9 minutes ago in Goose Bay, after a whopping 18 hours and 31 minutes in the air... Softest landing you will ever see!

Gonna head off back to the skies on my way to London in about an hour!

Congrats ,I just landed leg 1 of my flight to Taipei in the A321. However, I stalled on approach and did a go-around. FUGGER. Never mind. Can't be perfect all the time. I hate the A321, it's a bugger to fly.

The reason I stalled is because on the panel for this plane the view zoom and angle is weird, as a result, I let the angle of attack get too high, so it stalled when I thought the nose pitch wasn't as high as it was. The iFDG 321 also has VERY unstable pitch control.
