Is Anyone Here In To Flying Model Planes?

Thu Mar 16, 2006 2:54 pm

I've wondered this, it seems like such a fun hobby. I'd love to start but can't afford it.

This is to all the guys(and maybe girls) that fly r/c planes. I'd love to here wether your anygood and what kind of plane you have. I have a friend at school that does it and he loves. Currently he's building one after he crashed his last one into a tree at his club.

Quoting QFA380 (Thread starter):
he crashed his last one into a tree at his club.

That's why I stopped doing it...
It's horrible when that happens!
Also our Airspace is very limited where we actually can fly them here, every single spot of airspace is practically controlled here...not to mention the weather.
I guess Australia is much better for that.

Although it's a long time ago, I made them with my dad 10 years ago,
and I remember many Belgian Francs going to that too.
I had this one,

a BN Islander of the Belgian Air Force, it crashed eventually...

But it's really cool to do!
The most costly items are your servos/transmitters and engines.
The model itself doesn't cost necessarily that much.
What time is top of descent?
