Airliners & Airways Magazines

Fri Mar 17, 2006 5:01 am

I have some old issues of Airliners & Airways magazines sitting in storage.

Does anyone think I can get any money for these? Some are real old, right after they started publishing.

If I sell them would I be better off selling on ebay?

Auction or set price?

I depends on how much you want to get for them.

How old are they, are they in good condition.

These magazines are in great shape. I read them and put them away. Some are in plastic sleeves. I saved them to some day sell, mostly to hang onto.

Airliners starts with the 2nd issuse. I have almost 3 years worth.

Airways starts with the 1st issue. Almost 2 or 3 years.

I don't know what I want price wise. I guess I would see what someone was willing to pay. Supply and demand.

Next week I was going to go through them and make a list of what I have.

I do not know where you live but you might consider getting a table at one of the Airline Shows. Personally I would be cautious of EBAY because of the fraud that goes on there. Remember that once they are gone on EBAY you can only hope for honesty from the other party. If you have complete collections in series of months, you might get better price waiting for one seller.
Good luck to you. The only things I ever hold onto turnout to be noting but junk.  crying

These magazines don't really go for much on eBay. However,I would probably put all of your older Airliners issues on there. I'd start with the one with the Varig Electra on the cover......That one seems to be hard to find (It took me a couple of years). For some reason, Airways magazines don't really sell that well. You could try to sell them in lots.

I sold a fair few rail mags on eBay a while back, i tried to sell them individually but they didn't sell all that well, so i sold them as one lot, and had plenty of interest. Fingers crossed its the same with Aviation.
