Frame Rates In FS9

Tue Mar 21, 2006 4:26 am

Relative newbie here so please bear that in mind.

When using FS9 in window mode my average frame rates are showing as 36-40
however, in full screen mode it can drop as low as 18 at times.
Is this normal ?

Spec of PC is Compaq 2.2 Gig AMD 64, Nvidia Ge-force 6200 turbocache
1 gig of ram
dual 150 gig HD

Regards
Rob

hah I wish I got those framerates....I have to deal with 12-13 frames/ second....and that's on a good day flying from smaller airports!!! It's very frustrating...but I think I have gotten used to it by now kinda...  frown  , I wish there was someway to get my framerates up.

You can do like I did.... I bought a brand new graphic card and believe me, IT WAS WORTH IT.

I always use the window mode. I don't like running fs on fullscreen. I just maximize the window instead

Thanks for the replies. It seems it is pretty normal then. I'll make sure my next pc has a whizz bang graphics setup.

Cheers

I was thinking about that earlier this year, but my friend who is a computer geek told me it might not help cuz I could also have a slow processor...but I was really considering buying a new graphics card...how much was yours?
