Ok, the basic hint is to unzip it to the XXX/Microsoft games/Fs9/Aircraft folder.
That's in a nutshell.

Or you can create a new folder, place it in the desktop, and drop all the files there.
Then what you do is to put all the things that usually come with a plane, ie, panel, sound, textures, together and then you plave that ine in the aircraft folder.
This is roughly how you do it.
But then you can mess around with the files, change things, etc....but we'll leave that for another day.  Cool

So when I am asked if I want to "save" or "open" the file, which do I choose?

Also, after I click on an aircraft I would like to download, I am shown a folder that reads "Program Files", along with an option to "Extract all files" , I click to extract and choose my flight sim folder.....correct???

Doesn't really matter.
If you choose open, then if you close the winzip(rar) window by mistake or forgot to download something, then you'll have to download the whole file again.
I personally save them in the desktop, and when I'm done just place them in the recycling bin.
After the window is open, start doing what I wrote in the first response.

Correct.(aircraft folder)
Or if you want you could extract to a new folder, as I stated before.

Be advised that if downloading a panel(in this case the destination would be ....aircraft/XXX/panel) you have to download the gauges to the main gauges folder in the Fs9 folder.
Same with effects and some sounds.
