Aviation Magazines

Mon May 08, 2006 12:35 pm

I was wondering what do you think is the "best" aviation magazine? I got a copy of Airliners when I was in AMS, and I loved it. Any others? Thanks.

Flying is also pretty good.
It's not just the destination, it's the journey.

I would also agree with Airliner World.

Also I would say the best magazine that covers the Australian aviation scene is Australian Aviation.

Australian Flying is better.

BTW shouldn't this be in Polls and Preferences.

I used to love Airways, but in recent years I find that they have gotten too much of an ego and have become quite repetative. Airliner World is IMO the best magazine on the market. They have a great news section (even though, it´s no longer up-to-date compared to A.net), but they also have great articles on many different airlines and airports. They also have a sister publication called "Airports" and is equally good.

I find Airliners- The Worlds Airline Magazine the best! It's pure fun reading, good articles. Enjoy it every time.

I have a monthly subscription to Airliner World and I find it the best for commercial aviation. Can't beat the usually 25-30 pages of news. Airliners is a great magazine as well but it is a bit of a short read and it is bi-monthly. I used to pick up Airways every month at the store but only occasionally do now. They were good too.

Same here! Airliner World is by far, the most comprehensive airline magazine I've seen (and I've seen pretty much all of them: Airliners, Airways, etc.).

I forgot about the Airports magazine, I do like that one too. Especially the behind the scenes looks at airports. Very interesting.

Airports of the World is pretty good, I agree, airliner world is nice too. Theses are the 2 favorites.
It's not about AIRBUS. it's not about BOEING. It's all about the beauty of FLYING.

I forgot to mention "Airports of the World", the sister magazine of Airliner World. Not bad at all, the pictures quality is even far better.

Airlinerworld by far, secondly Airways. I don't really like Airliners. Airports of the world is also great, but the articles are sometimes repeated, althoug a bit shorter, in Airlinerworld (same publisher)

I have tried some different magazines lately, and I like Airliner World and Airways. Good articles, good news sections, always a nice poster in the middle, generally very good magazines.

FLYING is the best around for practical advice, training theory and GA aircraft reviews. The columnists are absolutely top notch.

Here in Japan there's a magazine called AIRLINE...I can't read everything in it but it's bar none the most glossy, lovingly produced, and geek-inspired commercial av. magazine around!
