Im sorry if someone has posted a similar thread already but I have just been reading in the latest Airliner World Mag that the BA
Heritage collection based at RAF Cosford museum is being scrapped. This is probably the most outraged ive been with an article for a while. Apparently they are reducing their historic collection including a VC10, Trident and the only 707 on display in the UK to twisted metal aprt from the noses which will go to museums.
What I dont understatnd is why Cosford doesnt want them and would rather see them scrapped, why BA
have ordered them to be scrapped instead of finding a new home for this historic collection and why they arnt being offered for sale for preservation. It seems extremely pointless to just destroy them.
