What Would You Like To See In FS Weather?

Wed May 31, 2006 3:01 am

What would everyone love to see in FS for the weather? I personally would like to see choppy seas when the wind is gusting.

I would like to see:

Standing Water
More Real Thunderstorms
Spray from the runway when it is wet
Slick Runways when it is wet

I'd like to see more realistic cirrus clouds, along with contrails that last realistically, not the short ones that trail the planes now. That way, if a virtual spotter were on the ground, they'd get all of thos criscrossing contrails if the conditions were right.

I would like to see better weather transitions. What I hate is when you are in an approach for an airport in clear skies and then *BAM* all of a sudden you are in 1/2 mile visibility. That really frosts my flaps!

Turbulence cause by mountainous areas would be good.

One thing I'd certainly like to see is decent overcast clouds, when looking from above...The FS2004 default weather engine has nice overcast effects when looking from the ground, but from above it seems to be just a faint layer of clouds where you can see through easily. Give me the good ol' FS98 overcast effect please Big grin

I hear you there. I hate being in that situation, where the runway's a few miles ahead & all of a sudden, it can't be seen due to weather.

One thing I would like to see is the passage of condensation over the wings in wing view as you pass through clouds.

Yes that would be pritty kool. Also, although not related to weather, I would love to see airshows in flight simulator. An airshow add on would be pritty neat

Just one small thing, Legoguy. Your spelling and grammar are much better than a lot of the efforts you see here but... it's "pretty".  Smile

I'd love to see snow on the ground ! It's no fun landing in MSP in the winter when it's snowing like mad and the runway is perfectly dry with no slickness and no accumulated snow !
