The Screenshot Thread... V24.

Wed Jun 07, 2006 9:57 am

Hi all!

After just over a month's absence I am able to post some screenshots again!
There was tons of amazing pics posted over in v23, but as it made my PC freeze when I just tried to open it, I thought now would be a good time to start a new thread, as I have around 20 pics to share...!

Same rules as usual, THUMBNAILS ONLY...

So anyway, here are a bundle from recent adventures...

I was just about to start v24 myself. Thanks for posting, Chris.

Here are just three shots: one is a takeoff practice with G-VIIW out of SJO and the last two are some edited shots, trying out Gofly's small crashcourse on editing, featuring a KE A332 at ICN:

I just gave them a slight spruce up in Photoshop, hardly any editing involved at all to be honest.

Shots look awsome everybody. Unfortunatly, my computer has terrible graphics card and memory, so I can't contribute with much. But could I request a shot, allthough you'll probably need alot of add-ons to make it happend:

Emirates at Dubai

Would be nice to see the Emirates lined up like that, or at each side of the terminal like in some other shots.

Off of the main menu, click Time Table and then select Status Board. Then you type in the ICAO of the airport and what you want, highlight it and click on Continue. If you have any other questions, let me know. I am also found in the UT forums under the username Craig.

With the World Cup being on, and with something weird that happened during my DE flight, which forced me to abort it and do it probably next week, I only felt like doing a quickie. I didn't know what else to fly, so I chose to abuse the 767 on LHR-HAM, subbing the 757, although I did have a minor delay because I couldn't get the engines to start for a while, plus traffic.

Airline: British Airways
Aircraft: Boeing 767-336ER (G-BNWX)
Flight number: BA964
Departure Airport: London/Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom (LHR/EGLL)
Destination: Hamburg (Fuhlsbüttel) Airport, Germany (HAM/EDDH)
Departure time: 08:00
Arrival time: 10:30

That's the Level-D 767. It's payware but it includes and almost fully functional package, which among other things includes a stunning visual model and a panel with a 99% fully functional FMC. You can get it at Flight1.com and it is most certainly worth the $40.  Wink

That is what i used to fly with before i got my XPS 600

These are my spechs

3.40GHz Intel 4
4GB RAM
19" flat panel
Dual Nvidia Geforce 6800 cards SLI
320GB HD 7200RPM

With the spechs you use, you can perfectly fly LDS and PMDG, the only thing you could do to make your performance better is 1 more GB of RAM and your PC would manage almost any A/C add-on.

So i would say go get the plane and mybe check on avsim.com for the reveiw, because the people wo post the reviews have very similar spechs as you do usually.

Have fun Big grin

BTW Chris: Did you recently get a new system, or did u get Photoshop?
I must admit your screenshots have become a lot better in quality!

Do you mind posting your spechs?

IMHO, Photoshop is much better for editing than Irfanview. With Photoshop you have more editing options by far.

EZEIZA---Very nice for your first attempt. As for making your shots better, heres some help:

http://www.fs2004.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78502

It's a small tutorial made by Gofly, and very good at explaining some simple editing tools. It is, however, for use with Photoshop. If you're not using Photoshop, just sharpen your images slightly (if they need it), and sometimes I like to enhance the colors (brighten/darken).

Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask for help, as we all had to start somewhere!

GEEZ---Love those Emirates shots! Seeing that Siberia Airlines Tu-154 inspired to me go out and install some new Russian AI models and airlines. However, I couldnt find the TU-154 in new S7 colors. Could you tell me where you found it? Thanks!

Here are some shots from SYD-DXB using my new CLS A340-500 model. I love it and highly recommend it to everyone!

Heres a shot I took while flying SYD-SIN. I dont know why, but I just really like it!

Hope to see more shots from everyone!
