Odd Problems With FS9

Wed Jul 26, 2006 11:22 am

Whats up all,

I have been experiencing some odd problems with my FS9 all of a sudden.
Examples:

Some keyboard controls do not work:
-Opening Cabin Doors
-Can not push back from the gate
-Can not exit FS9 using the Esc. button, have to use tool bar.

I am also experiencing the aircraft turning hard to the left if I let go of the joy stick during taxi.

The only big difference I made was that I upgraded my joy stick to a Saitek X52.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

I had problems with FS9 recently - the whole application would shut down and return to windows whilst in mid-flight. After reading the Microsoft FS9 trouble shooting (on their website) I un-installed FS9 completely and also removed all freeware (add-ons) that I had added, which was a pain.

Microsoft were basically saying that if you have added free-ware or other add-ons then sometimes it can cause conflict with FS9, and stop it working as it should.

After re-installing FS9 it worked fine. When taxiing or beginning the take-off roll, I had similar problems with controlling the aircraft - to solve it I centred the rudder before moving off (5 on the keypad - with Num Lock off).

Hope this helps.

I reckon its a plot from microsoft to make everones fs9's break down so they buy the much more expensive FSX.

Look out for "updates" from microsoft around the release date of FX9.
