Thanks in advance.

I have the theme from 633 Squadron but I've no idea where I got it from - Vodafone, probably. It wasn't categorised as aviation, it was categorised as a film theme.

What I meant is ATC/PILOT communication or Warning message tones from the cockpit.

My tip is finding some snippets of atc on the web, either as wav files or mp3. Convert wav to mp3 and upload to your phone, then choose to use it as ringtone. Of course your phone must be able of using mp3's or realtones.

Edit: If you have Flight simulator there is a variety of warning sounds, and there are also sound sets to download from sites as avsim.com. those files are wav and can be converted to mp3

You can find quite a few of those here: http://www.planecrashinfo.com/sounds.htm

That one is pretty good for sounds. Download it in .wav and convert it to whatever you want and just put them on your phone, I have one of them not sure which though.

well, I have a video file from being up in hte cockpit and I have those sounds.

If you give me the play by play on how to capture that part of hte video, and convert to sound, I'm on it.

Fine I'll do that, my last mobile dare was to put Shane McMahons "Here Comes the Money" entrance music as my ringtone and leave it ringing down the pub...

I do remember recoring "Retard" onto one of those personal dictators, was always funny to play at some inappropriate moment - till someone broke it  Sad

How about the WN "Ding" as a ringtone? But if you have that on your cellphone and also have "Ding" installed on your PC, it might confuse you trying to figure out which one is dinging.

IF you have FS2004, go into the main sounds page and there is all of them. Now open up Movie maker. Import sounds and import all of them sounds, then put them in order (make sure you have no images in the order box at the bottem) then Save to my computer and itll save it as an audio file. Connect your phone to your pc and send it over. Voila.

I quickly went to google and search WMA to MP3 converter, clicked the first link and downloaded it. It was a trial version but worked  Smile

I have a 'fasten seatbelt' chime (Ding....Dong....) for text messages, but Guns & Roses Sweet Child O'Mine for the main ringtone!  Wink

The SMS one is pretty good though, just converted it from a flight sim file...

I finally got around to connecting my phone and trying to get this ringtone to work . I have a nikia 6133. I hgot the file saved on it. Any reason why the phone will not allow me to use the file as a ringtone? its already a .mp3 file. 143kb large but the phoe is not allowing me to use the tone. ideas as to why?

Unfortunately I do not see Verizon Wireless as an option. Anybody know of an alternative? If I select another phone carrier but the correct model phone, will it work?

Thanks,

SN used to offer downloadable ringtones for miles, these were, among others, the classic "ladies and gentlemen, we have just landed in Brussels...", as well as the music that was featured in their ads. Too bad I didn't have a mp3-phone at the time, and now the new Brussels Airlines don't offer them anymore...

Here guys. Use this website, it is very simple.

I used the sounds that are in the "Sound" file for Flight Sim and sim. add ons (like Wilco 767).

My advice would be do the following:

-Create a file on your desktop titled "Ring tones".
-Copy or download any sounds that you want into the "Ring tones" file on your desktop. (Be sure to COPY and not CUT from the sound file in your Flight Sim.)
-Go to the web site and follow the directions in the upper right called "Make your own ring tone."

Good luck.
