Anyone got their own ideas for a fantasy airline? An airline that, were you a business professional, youd like to create in the real world?
I had a few of these as a kid, several ideas for different things, just wondering who else out there wants to share theirs? Often these fantasy airlines end up turning into VA projects but sometimes they just stay locked away on someone's computer or in someone's mind and nobody ever sees them.
I created a few of these when i was younger and still occasionally do some work related to them as a hobby...like paint a random plane outline in their colors. Do you have any images or artwork that you'd like to share?
Here's the airlines I created over the years...mostly just images and ideas but some of them grew into VA projects, though none are still active.
UTW - Utah Trans West, a resurrection of Western airlines
- Trans Pacific Airlines, Hawaii-based international long haul carrier with interisland routes within hawaii and around the pacific island nations.
TCA - Trans Caribbean Airways - A resurrection of part of Eastern's network, this airline would re-use the original Eastern logo and codeshare with TPA
- Pacific World Airways - Similar to TPA
but larger in scale, having european routes and merging the TCA routes into the airline proper.
- Resurrection of the PSA brand and a return of the smileliners. Also based in honolulu but with a hub in San Diego as well like the old days. Paint scheme similar to ATA but more colorful.
Those were the main ones but all of them had little side projects, connection airlines, etc that were related to them but not entirely separate.
Lately I wa browsing through some of the old images i made for these airlines and decided to restore them all since some of them were small, pixelated, old, corrupted...etc....so here's one that i finished last night: Trans Caribbean Airways.
This is the one that's based on Eastern. Got the eastern logo on it, and I've based the colors off of the hockeystick silver scheme...but did a modern refresh of the overall look, and im really satisfied with the result.
the top image has more bold titles....the bottom has fancier text. Not sure which looks better so I included them both. What do you think? My aim was to bring back the colors of Eastern in a modern fashion, while doing the old scheme justice. I think i pulled it off!
Do you have any that you would like to share?
