FS9 Landing Gear Problem

Mon Aug 28, 2006 1:34 am

Perhaps you guys can help--I'm having an issue where my landing gear sporadically deploys. The problem doesn't seem to be exclusive to any specific type of aircraft--have any of you experienced this? Any advice on fixing it?

thanks in advance

Are you using a joystick? If so, could you be leaning on the gear button?

Is the G key on the keyboard sticky?

Just a few thoughts

I used to have this problem using my old Microsoft Sidewinder, I think there was a fault in the joystick which caused the landing gear to extend without any input from me. I put it down to heavy usage as the joystick was getting on a bit. Now I have a new Saitek X52 which has no problems.

I had the same with FS2002. I replaced the joystick, and it stopped. I coincidentally had a microsoft sidewinder....

I have the saitek X45--I'll clean my keyboard and play around with the button assignments to see if that helps.
