Hey all. ive done countless #'s of little 1-2 mile hops with cessna's but im asking for flights with aircraft such as Commutor props to 744's for that matter. Ive done the Westray-Papa Westray-Westray run a few times using a Britton-norman Islander. What are yours?
JVY-SDF. Flight time of about 5 minutes. The runway at JVY is barely long enough but I can get just about get anything outta there. Also done the Macau- Hong Kong run quite a bit A few others I have done:
SEA-PAE is one of my favorites, but if I want something more interesting I always go for ORY-CDG. Here's how it goes:
1. Depart ORY at RWY 25
2. Turn right to HDG 360 while climbing to about 5000 AGL
3. If you pass above the Eiffel Tower, you know you're on the right track
4. Intercept any eastbound CDG localizer you like, then turn to HDG 087
I like this route a lot, especially because you can do it in pretty much any kind of airplane. The biggest I've tried was a LDS 767, but I have no doubt that a good 747 with low fuel would also do the job nicely.
Better to be nouveau than never to have been riche at all.
Took off from O'hare. 3 seconds after rotation, i hit a bird. The engine died and I tried to restart it, instead I opened the cabin door. Impacted the ground less than a mile from the runway. My brilliant piloting abilities shown through...
That's my testing route for most aircraft...Take off on 25R out of LAX, climb up to 7,500, make a right turn (I don't remember the heading...it's been a while), and another right after about a minute, and then line up for a straight-in approach to RWY 3.
Sometimes, depending on the A/C, I'll make a left and head down to LGB, which for some of the larger A/C is better.

I've done the same, but MDT-CXY. They are just across the river from one another. I only climb to about 500ft, and then a slight left bank and I am on short final to CXY, rwy 26.
The entire flight lasts about 2 minutes (from full stop to full stop). It's good for a few kicks!
My glass is neither 1/2 empty nor 1/2 full, rather, the glass itself is twice as big as it should be.
Excluding returning to the same airport, I sometimes simulate flights such as Everett-BFI with a "new" 737 or Renton-BFI with a "new" 777. I also do various other really short flights when I'm in the mood for using FS but not in the mood for burning up a bunch of time.
DUS-HAM, LT MD-11. It was a simple ferry flight to upgrade LT888 HAM-PMI from an Airbus to an MD-11.
Another one was a combination of short hops. One of which was LH1955, the flight which was flown on the day Deutsche Lufthansa 50 years after they restarted. The original flight in 1955 was with a Connie, but the one I did in the sim and was done in real life was with this:
KMIA-MYBS MIA-Bimini. In FS2000 when I did not know what I was doing this was one of the only flights I did I flew the 734 on this flight all day. But after that I have flownt the 208, Cessna 411 on that flight. For a schedule mainline Jet it would be MIA-NAS I have flown F100, 734, 737, DC-9. Oh I just remember actually my shortest commercial flight would be SBH-SXM Cessna 208.

I did a ATAv 738 flight ORD-MDW. Would have been faster but I wanted the VOR/DME RNAV or GPS 22L. That or probably TOL-YIP, but there again I did an RNAV(GPS) approach not via the TAA to a IAF but DCT the the IAF w/ the Hold-in-lieu. But the concept was only like 5 minutes.
