New Round Of FS Videos!

Sun Sep 17, 2006 2:20 am

Hey Guys!
The last thread was kind of dead, so here's the latest round of FS9 videos.

This is my lastest.
Check out the high drama!

Enjoy!
As always, comments welcome!

Nice video with nice effects...

But tailstrike is not good... ouch...

But the final approach looked a bit unstable to me... And then the engine strike... poor aircraft... but I hope nobody got hurt in the aircraft

But really nice effects...

Thanks! I have to give credit to POSKY for the effects. Also, I give credit to my son, for discovering that you can get the tailstrike effect. I never did a tailstrike when I was flying, so I never knew.

I was all intentional, believe me. I can fly much better than that! LOL!

I had to do 4 simulations to get all the shots. Then I found that great music and put all the pieces together.

Just check out the closing credits!

How did you get the engine fires and the wingtip contrails? Did you do an engine strike for the engine fires?

The wingtip contrails are part of the effects package on the POSKY 747. Just press "i" (the default "smoke effects" key)

Quoting GAIsweetGAI (Reply 3):

Yes. I had to strike the engines on landing to get the fire effect. Then I ran an instant replay. In the replay, the engines appear on fire, so I was able to get the effect that they were on fire during the flight.

To be honest, this video came together quite by accident. About two weeks ago, when my son was flying, he struck the tail on take off and it caught fire and began to shoot sparks. I had no idea that this was even doable. I have never had a tail strike, so I never saw it.

After his flight, I tried it with several other POSKY aircraft. they all did it.
So I got the idea to use that in a "dramatic" video.

When I ran my first simulation, I did the tailstike fine and got the shots I wanted. I screwed up the landing and that's when I got the engine fire. I didn't know this effect was available either. That's when the idea came together for the video.
I ran two more simulation to try and get the shots I wanted.
The biggest piece of the puzzle was finding the right music. I came across the music I used, and thought it would be pefect for this video.
It took me about two weeks to put all the elements together. I hope you liked it. I think it came out pretty well.

I thought about makinig some comment in the video about that, but felt it best just to leave the viewers to their own opinions!

Were you dumping fuel over Lake Washington?!?  mad ...you could have at least waited until you were over Bellevue...  duck

Nice video. For the sake of all that's good, get yourself FlyTampa's SEA scenery...looking at that default scenery hurts.  Wink

I know this is probably the stupidest questionthat will ever be asked on A.net but I am going to ask anyway. How do you get the view from inside the aircraft in FS9.

You have to download specific WING VIEWS for specific panels and planes, just do a search on avsim.com file's library, e.g. '757 wing views' or something.

My latest, that I've been trying to make for quite a long time:

Anyone who understands French will hear how I chose the music.

And I have a few questions:
1- Does anyone know a program that can read and edit .MOV files?

2- I'd like to make my own music for my movies- does anyone know where I could get a good piano sound for Fruity Loops, FOR FREE?

3- Why is it so quiet around here?

The only thing I can think of is to re-record your .fsr video using Fraps and then edit the clips with Movie Maker. I'm not sure I could explain why easily though.
