AA FS2004 Planes

Thu Oct 12, 2006 1:21 am

Hey guys,

I got FS2K4 three months ago. AA is my favorite airline, but I'm having trouble finding some (good planes) of them. Specifically I'm looking for an MD80 and 777 of AA. I have a good A300, 757, 762, 763, MD-11 and 737-800 already. If anyone has any suggestions of other good planes with the AA paint/metal, could you post a link?

Thanks!

look for "SGA MD-80" and "Meljet 777" under original aircraft at AVSIM. You will find your AA planes.
Well I believe it all is coming to an end. Oh well, I guess we are gonna pretend.

Piercy- no dice on the SGA MD80, the Meljets do not have the AA version of the 777

you may have a job finding AA aircraft models, as the airline has refused to grant permission for people to use their brand. All other airlines are happy for simmers to make models of their aircraft, but not AA.

You will often find commercial releases will not feature AA as they need to pay a license fee to do so.

I am suprised to hear this, might be they think their livery is too ugly?

Isn't this only partially true. Best I recall, at one point AA sent out cease and decist letter to everyone, freeware and payware manufacturers and the hosting sites as well telling them that they couldn't use the AA livery without violating their trademark. Soon thereafter, they modified their position to say that freeware designers could use the AA livery as long as a certain statement accompanied the file but payware manufacturers had to pay for the rights.
Hypocrisy. It's the new black for liberals.
