Pushback Tug For FS9?

Sun Nov 26, 2006 3:45 am

Does anybody know of a pushback tug for flight sim, just for driving around? I've searched avsim for a few weeks now and can't find anything. (I've tried the Hama Towing car, and the Ramp Tractor) I'm looking for a decent tug that looks like they do today, and one that I can use to explore the airport.

If anybody know of such a thing, that would be great.

I don't think there are standalone pushback tugs available for FS9. There are tugs, but they're almost always modelled into the aircraft, so they can be activated either through the pushback or with a special command prior to pushback (like for example wingfold or tailhook). In any case, no tug can be used for towing an aircraft from one stand to another unless you slew.

The only one that comes to mind is the "integrated" tug featured on the latest POSKY 767 series aircraft.

I think most of posky's stuff comes with tugs as 2 of my 737's have tugs and wingwalkers on them. (non-drivable)
But to answer the question, I havent seen any tugs but i have seen Drag cars, ferraris and the sort. The thing is even if you do have a tug you cant just latch onto a plane and push it back or anything.

I'm aware that you can't connect to the aircraft... I would think that a tug is just like a car in FS. I would guess that its less complicated to create than an aircraft, as there is no need for control surfaces, but I may be wrong. I guess I'm going to have to keep looking. Thanks guys.

Here is the one I use

It includes one with the roof and one without the roof, it has an option to put the front push back bar on or to put the rear towing bar on.

Did you use SHIFT P ? It works on mine. There is alos download on Avsim for airline specific tugs for POSKY's new 737's.

Yeah somewhere I found a Luthfansa bus. Actually you'll have to ask Kazzie about that one... It flies.
