Flights Above Ireland

Thu Feb 22, 2007 1:59 am

I've recently moved to the lovely city of Galway in the west of Ireland and on clear days see tons of large aircraft pulling contrails across the sky. I dont have any binoculars with me and would love to know what airlines I'm seeing and where they are coming from/ going to. Does anyone know of any online radar or flight tracking type of software or such that can maybe help out?

RE: Flights Above Ireland

Thu Feb 22, 2007 4:28 am might be able to provide you with information on the flights that are heading to the USA (it's quite likely that a lot of what you see is London-USA traffic). The maps won't be correct since they can only track flights in US airspace, but the flight plans provided should tell you if a particular flight is crossing a waypoint/VOR station somewhere near you.
