Ryaniar Models

Thu Mar 29, 2007 5:09 am

Hi,
I am trying to build up a collection of models of aircraft from flights I have been on. I have already got VS Herpa A343, Dragonwings SQ 772 and NZ 744. I also have a Magic SQ A380 (although I havn't been on this plane obviously!  Big grin).

I am currently looking for a Ryanair 738 as this is the aircraft and airline I have flown on most. Does anyone know where I can pick one up? I am looking mainly for a metal not plastic one of a comparable quality to Drangonwings/Herpa/Gemini Jets. Also a UK or European retailier would be preferable but I don't really mind as long as I can order online.

Many thanks for any help.

Andy S

Depends on what scale you want it, I have a Gemini Jets 1:400 Ryanair 738 and it is really nice, they also make the dreamliner one on 1:250, some other company made a 1:400 Dreamliner but don't remember the name, look on ebay and you will find plenty!

Cheers

To be honest I'm not really that bothered about the scale. My Dragonwings ones are 1:400 and my Herpa is 1:500 so something like that would fit in best.

I'll have a look on ebay though and see what there is.

You not have a look in your local store? It's not listed but give them a phone/visit - they have soo much more than they list on their site!

Yeah they still do but the wrong livery is stupidly displayed on the new ones (unless they have changed it), it is a mixture between the old Ryanair.com titles and the new livery, it looks strange.

EMA747, I would go for the Gemini Jets FR 737, they released it about 6 months ago. I don't think Dragonwings or Herpa do Ryanair models. The Gemini Jets are great, just too expensive (I only have two of them for this reason).

Cheers

PPC Holland do the correct Ryanair titling on a 1/200 plastic 738- albeit without winglets. Wingletted wings could easily be substituted however. Premier-portfolio.net have a Ryanair model with the small.com titles.
