This has been on their website /AVSIM Forum for a month. Don't hold your breath. The MD11 is alread over 4 years in development and it's unlikely to be this released this year. The 744X looks no closer either despite their AVSIM posts. I think most of us have given up by now. I thank them for their 744 for FS9 but after this I will be shopping elsewhere. Marketing is just not their strong point.

Can understand your point BUT:

Give me the name of one better add-on producer?

It sucks waiting..but imagine a release date and then delays...

And the problems they are having are FSX related...they have been working very closely with ACES (the developer of FS9/FS9) to find solutions for problems they all Addon-makers are suffering from.

The 744FSX will be released this year and the MD-11 exterior model is almost finished and the systems just need to be re-coded for FS9 use.

And although waiting sucks i just love the moment where i go to their website after waiting for ages and seeing the plane has been released!

I share your same feelings but lets just wait and we shall have a great result.

BTW they are not distand from a ACARS function to be updated for their 737's and 744's FMC allowing communication between virtual airline bases with their aircraft and maybe even between simmers!

I don't know why everyone is getting excited to give these greedy guys $80 for an add-on, when POSKY is making a 744 that's probably almost as good.

Posky's FDE sucks and it is not realistic. No FMC no Vnav Lnav . Just the exterior is perfect.

Ahahahaha that just made my day! no offence but just compare www.precisionmanuals.com to www.projectopensky.com

Posky will never achieve anything like PMDG because they are freeware and dont have the resources to do it. And the people they make their models for do not have time or patience for Level-D PMDG like planes.

100% on! That idiot of warren thinks that with his 5-10 hours of In Flight 777 simulator he knows how to produce a perfect FDE for every other plane.

And no the 744 aint perfect either on the exterior! Just check it out

Peace

I understand your point, but there's a point at which you'd rather have a decent product that actually comes out than a great product that you never see.

Especially given PMDG's new attitude toward customer service, it's hard for me to get excited about progress on the MD-11, since I've been hearing about progress on the MD-11 for years now, and have pretty much accepted that I won't be flying it.

Because I'm not planning on it coming out. It's been pushed back and back and back over the course of years, why should I expect it to come out any time soon?

Hell, by the time it comes out, I may well be flying actual MD-11s. And I don't even have a multi rating yet.
