Posky 738 Repaint Help.....

Fri Dec 14, 2007 2:39 pm

Okay - I must be a complete donut....
I have the excellent POSKY 738 for fs9 (winglets, Boeing house colours. I have downloaded from FlightSim the XL Airways re-paint b738poxl.zip
I follow the instructions, the problem I have (using Vista by the way) is editing in notepad with the new details for the aircraft config file - it won't let me save the changes.
Any ideas or pointers? I'm pretty new to this sort of stuff so no techno speak please!

Thanks

yes:

Format Hard Drive
Install Windows XP

sorry but welcome to Windows Vista, you have to save the file as a .txt, then rename it to .cfg if it will let you.
Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Ah. Had a feeling it might be something to do with Vista. Rolling back to XP is on my list of things to do this Christmas...
