Info On A Scanner

Sun Mar 09, 2008 10:17 pm

Im thinking of buying a radio scanner specifically to listen to air traffic in my local area. Ive been looking at the Radioshack Pro 84. It says its used for nascar, however I was wondering if it can be used for aviation VHF freqs as well. If not what scanners would you recommend at a reasonable price?

Quoting KCMike (Thread starter):

It appears it will. According to the tech specs page, the frequency coverage is: 25.0-27.995, 28.0-49.995, 50.0-54.0, 108.0-136.9875, 137.0-174.0, 406.0-512.0, 806.0-956.0MHz. The frequency range in bold are the aviation frequencies.

I'd read the reviews before making a purchase though.

I lift things up and put them down.
