Help PSS 777 Missing Gauge

Fri Mar 21, 2008 4:33 pm

Hi all,

I while ago I had to format and subsequently lost my PSS 777. Before doing this I backed up what I thought were all the required files. However it appears that I thought wrongly since after trying a manual reinstall I encounter a crash to desktop every time I load the 777 up.

I think it may have something with a gauge called FSWXR2100.gau which I forgot to back-up  banghead .

So, can anyone tell me from where I could possibly download this gauge or perhaps be willing to send it to me (if you've got the 777).

Thanks in advance.

The weather radar gauge (FSWXR....) is in the installer.
It is never a good idea to install these packages manually ,I don't think you're even supposed to as it needs both the exact location from FS9.exe to make a correct registry to be able to validate the legitimacy of the product.

It seems like you didn't install correctly and also you're missing the necessary entry for FSUIPC use which is also necessary to rpevent CTD and use of the weather radar.

Just sending you the gauge won't help you because it wont fix the registry and the FSUIPC data, besides it is illegal to do so anyway.

Thanks for the information, anyone know on what I need to add to fsuipc to make it work?

I can't use the installers since PSS closed down and I'm now left with installers which don't work. That's the reason why I tried a manual reinstall.

Either way thanks for your help.
