These are stunning. How did you do them?

Thanks. I used photoshop for the main fuselage / tail / engine nacelles and rendered the wings / horizontal stabiliser using Flightsim.

Nice work, ZSOFN! I'm a big fan of airliner profile art. I'd love to see some more of your work if you care to share.

Some 747s. Ignore the incorrect wing registration for now as these are works in progress...

Great stuff ZSOFN!! I love the 744s. A few comments (from a fellow airliner profile artist): You seem to have the starboard winglet showing on the 744s as well as the starboard wingtip of the 772s, just curious as to why you did that? Kinda goes against the concept of a profile. Also, you should add all the little antennas, beacons, etc., on the top and underside of the fuselage.

Otherwise, fantastic renderings!

Thanks very much! I noticed your work on the other thread - truly phenomenal. Of course I cut all the corners by using Photoshop and can't draw with a pencil for peanuts.

I chose to show the winglets on the far side as I've simulated some wingflex as though at takeoff weight. Having worked on some renders at that sort of stage in flight, from a 90° angle you can generally see the winglet on the far side above the fuselage.

I should indeed add the details you mention...

Cheers!

Well, keep in mind a true profile rendering (which is of course an unrealistic and impossible view) depicts all aspects of the plane from an exact 90° perspective, as you mentioned. So the far winglet should be entirely hidden by the near winglet, just as the no. 3 engine is perfectly hidden by the no. 2 engine. So IMO, the little bit of the starboard winglet you have showing should be removed. But it's your work so it's of course up to you. Excellent work nonetheless!

I see what you're saying. My thinking is/was that the viewpoint is looking at the mid-point at the fuselage from a far distance, although not infinite. As such, perspective allows for that far winglet to appear. Of course an "infinite" perspective would correct this...
