Looking For 1:100 Commercial Jet Models

Fri May 30, 2008 9:10 am

Hi Everyone!
I saw some really nice models at the McCarran Airport here in Vegas today. I wrote down some of the Model Makers : Larson Collection; Broadbent Collection; Dondero Collection. Can anyone tell me where to find these people on the web???

Any help would be appreciated.

Quoting NwaLAS (Thread starter):
Larson Collection; Broadbent Collection; Dondero Collection

I think those were the people that donated the models to the exhibit, not the
manufacturer of the models. If I recall, most of the models are either PACMIN,
AirJet or other variants of the same kind.

Hi, try EBAY. Use the search engine and type " 1/100 airline model " be sure to check the "search title and description " box. Just about anything you could want can be found.

Happy Hunting!!

Try the Boeing store as well - they are costly, but high quality.

go on ebay and search for "pacmin" "pacific miniatures" "space models" and "atlantic models" a little pricey but they are without a doubt the best models out there. Anything with the description "hand carved mahagony" is a crap. those models are cheap and generally look bad. also be ware there is a lot of terrible knock off models coming out of Hong Kong, those look even worse then the mahagony ones. I still cringe when i think of the 787 that came out of there.

Hi Everyone....

Thank you for the tips. The Atlantic Models are nice with a huge selection from many airlines. I am also going to look at E-Bay...so THANKS TERRY for the heads-up on that suggestion.

I think my first choice is either going to be a Hughes Airwest 727-200 or a WestJet 737-800 with winglets.

I'll post a photo!
