Any Aviation Hobby Shops Around Heathrow?

Fri May 30, 2008 7:10 pm

I might be visiting London next week, and I was wondering are there any aviation hobby shops (with Herpa models, some books or anything related) in the vicinity of Heathrow, and if they are accessible by bus or the Tube.

There is some info here but it's from 2006, so perhaps there's any new info: http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...ms/aviation_hobby/read.main/86371/

There is a small hobby shop selling models and books etc. at the old Heathrow Visitors Centre, on the perimeter road on the north of Runway 09L/27R. Fairly nice.

If you go into the Sheraton Skyline Hotel on Bath Road, then turn left as you enter

There's a big model shop called Collectors Aircraft Models

www.collectorsaircraft.com

They're quite large and have an extensive range of models

JG  Yeah sure
First Class passengers are my favourites. They can't get any further forward without an ATPL.

No. Go into the Shearaton Skyline Hote; on Bath Road, then turn RIGHT as you enter. Their shop is at the end of the passageway.
