FS 2004 Free Add-ons?

Fri Jul 04, 2008 3:38 am

After finding the 4th disk to FS 2004, I was wondering if there was a site where you could download add-on a/c for free?

I am looking at the E-Jet series (170-190) and the A320

I usually download on:

www.avsim.com

Best free downloads for all FS versions.

WILCO737 is right, Avsim is THE place for free downloads.

Even if you went to another download site, the chances are you would be directed to AVSIM anyway so you might as well start there.

^ No. That's only if you want to have guaranteed connection if the server is busy. Otherwise, it's free.

As far as the A320,download Project Airbus' , they are great. They are also coming out with A319's. Download Ken Mitchell's A320 family panel. There is also a new addition to it that puts the light switches on the upper panel.

I agree, Avsim is the best place to get free downloads for FS. However, their search engine is the shits, I can never seem to find what I'm looking for with it ....  Sad

First off, www.AVSIM.com is the best freeware download site. THE BEST.

Secondly,

No good freeware E-jets. Wilco has a payware. Which I bought because I was so excited, but not too great for the cost. Kinda dissapointed.

For a A320/A319 project airbus is the way to go. AWESOME MODELS. (WAYYYY better than ifdg models).

project airbus website (best FREEWARE airbus): www.pairbus.com
wilco publishing e-jets website (payware): www.wilcopub.com

Dreamwings do a good E170 which is free on avsim and there are loads of liveries for it. Just search for this - dw_emb170_basepackage.zip. Unfortunately there isn't a decent freeware E175/190/195 yet (at least none that are good quality)

I bought this as well as I was really looking forward to it but I'd have to agree with you I was kinda disappointed too. What problems are you finding with it?? One of the main problems for me is that the aircraft sits higher off the ground than its real life counterparts, which makes it look kinda silly. Just look at the nose gear of the Wilco one and compare it to a pic of one on airliners. Also the panel and displays are quite small and difficult to read unless you zoom on them. I've got a 22" monitor but still struggle with them.

Agreed. Visually these are fantastic looking and very good quality liveries available. Hopefully an A321 is in the pipeline. As a side note is anyone experiencing any problems with the thrust on the A319/A320. I cannot get them to go above 87% N1 on takeoff and the throttle is not very responsive. I have tried adjusting the thrust scalar but to no avail. There does seem to be some topics re this on the Project Airbus forum but no fix yet. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem and if they've found a solution.

The panels are too small, and yes it does sit higher up. I also don't think the visual model is too great. And don't get me started on the sounds....

Yes I have the same issue, but when AP and AT is set I don't really care too much....its a small thing. I'll just wait for a fix!
