Help Me Pick A CO 777 Model

Fri Jan 02, 2009 3:24 am

So I broke my best friend's 777 model, long story... It was a Skymarks 1:200 AFAIK. I thought it was a good model but I was wondering if there were better ones in the same scale. I'm looking for a more detailed model. I always thought this one was kind of plain. I want to get him a better one to make up for it.

Thx in advance for the suggestions

The hogan wings models are very good. Go to airlinemuseum.com

I got one from there and it looks great! Nice and solid with moving wheels

Concur with DL767 - I got a Hogan Wings AA 777-223 and it looks very well done.

Hogan kicks Skymarks butt every time. If you REALLY wanna say sorry, give him an upgrade.

Here's one I had commissioned:

It's built from a 1:200 Hasegawa kit, with scratch-built flaps. It's not for sale though!  Silly

As for a ready-made 1:200 CO 777 model, GeminiJets will be releasing their first 777 in 1:200 scale in a couple of months. Seeing as how Continental was among the first of their 1:200 737 and 757 releases, my hunch is the same will hold true for the 777. The GeminiJets product is far superior to Hogan or SkyMarks, so hold out for a few months and get him the GJ model.

Well, I think he can settle for a hogan, plus I kinda need to give it to him now since it's supposed to be part of his x-mas present too so I'm kinda running late lol  blush

Thanks for the replies!
