OK so final clue....
The African airline featured in the new program is located on a tiny airline close to where we filmed this very old french aircraft type...
Once you find this, the European airline featured is located at 11 o'clock.
This requires a bit of research but it can be done.
Good luck  Wink

I think the African Airline is STP Airways from Sao Tomé which operates the Boeing 767 and the European airline is EuroAtlantic Airways from Portugal which operates the Boeing 757 and 767 and owns 38% of STP Airways

Right well Sao Tome becomes out 787th destination... on the day the 787 was scheduled to fly... what a shame.. Anyhow I thought the 757 part of the DVD was very interesting with the overflight of Africa, communications issues, landing on that tiny island on a short runway, weather on the way back, nice night landing in Lisbon and a nice crew. The 767 is rather standard but really nice views in the flightdeck during the 4 takeoffs and landings.
All in all I'm very happy with the program...

The planning right now is for us to release 3 sold out DVDs next week... followed by our 212th airline before our 1st summer closing... and I will say I'm again very excited about this next program  Smile but no clues yet, sorry  Wink

It is indeed Euroatlantic and STP..even though I love the 757 and 767, I have to admit flying BRU-TFS-BRU twice (and with the exact same aircraft type) is not really appealing..

As the producer of this series one of my aims has always been to bring our viewers the maximum out of each program... It would have been just as easy to make this program strictly on the 757 to Sao Tome... not to mention a lot cheaper to produce while bringing in the same revenue.. but I think our viewers are used to getting a packed program with as much as possible...
We normally would have done the Tenerife roundtrip once to complete the program but I decided to do it twice for it would allow us to give our viewers some more and different views on the pilots flying the approaches and landings as well as takeoffs. The 767 happens to be one of those aircraft that gives a few more possibilities thanks to its size so we just went for it... Off course another destination would have been nicer but the choice was Hurghada in the middle of the night or another Tenerife in daylight...

The only disappointing thing here is you for making childish, foolish and most of all incorrect comments regarding the WAR website. It does show the Euro Atlantic DVD. I think it's completely unnecessary to personally 'attack' JustPlanes here.

This time only 1 clue will be given but its a good one that should seriously limit the possibilities...

The next airline joining is the 9th member of one of the airline alliances and by that I mean that we have already featured 8 airlines of that alliance in the series.

And about the new program..both Mexicana and EgyptAir would be awesome, especially the latter..we already have a lot of programs in and around Mexico, but Egypt and it's surroundings would be awesome. I would also love to see an airline like Air Malta  Smile

Have you seen programs such as Vancouver Island Air and Rusts? Loads of great scenery on these. As for operations, the flybe DVD is one with a good tour of operations..

At 3 hours long, I'd say there's plenty of time for all these things on each program and most do already have these aspects (and more) included.

Thats great to hear...
While our goal is try to give an overview of airlines and routes all across the globe... we also want to try to fly each type and that includes the A380... but it may be another few years before we get a decent agreement in place with an airline in order to cover that one...
We may end up getting the 747-8 before we do the A380... who knows...
I hate to say this in public but its very unfortunate that airlines like Singapore, Qantas, Emirates and BA are extremely uncooperative!

Scenery and operations is what is in every of our program... We focus a part of each DVD on showing both the views on takeoff and landings... as well as during the flight.. whenever there is something to see off course, sometimes you're above the clouds and there is nothing.
Over the years we've experimented with exactly what amount of outside cockpit (scenery) as opposed to inside cockpit views people wanted to see... I think we are about where we were looking to be and the current formula is working... give or take a few percent one way or another and also depending on the programs.. some will have more of one or another.

As far as operations... everything you see on our programs can be called operations...
Maybe you are referring to being inside an operations office? if so, thats been shown on a variety of programs as well where we will let a flight dispatcher go over the flight plan, weather or have the pilots go over it in the dispatch office... some programs have gone into a bit more details we far as showing them planning flights, aircraft etc...

JP - On a similar theme I have a slight request (and please please don't take this as a negative comment in any way) but.....would it be possible for you to film the takeoffs/landing with a more wide angle view sometimes? Sometimes I feel the view is a little too zoomed in and only shows what's going on through the windows. It would be good if we could see the panels and through the windows at the same time a bit more.
Again it's not a criticism I just though maybe it's something you guys could look into.  Wink

That is indeed a note our cameramen have however most of the time the light makes such an ideal shot impossible... We've been a bit more successful at this than in the past though so we'll continue to try for that off course... and trust me I've taken all requests and suggestions seriously since we started this series, if I hadn't I doubt we would be where we are today so feel free to send them over!

KLM Cityhopper, KLM UK, KLM Exel and Transavia have all been featured, not sure why KLM has been so resistent in joining.

Btw JustPlanes, - just an idea, But I reckon it would be something different if you were to film and get a detailed explanation of the aircraft galleys and how the f/as prepare the meals and service. I know you show cabin shots of the service and galleys in most of your programs but in the ones that I've seen theres been no explanation of how everything works and what each part does. The galleys are probably the part of the aircraft that I know the least about and it would be good to get a bit more knowledge about.

Actually we have done a few programs that present and explain galleys... don't ask me which ones... just too much out there to remember that... We've also had some food preparation and presentation footage.. mostly on the Austrian long haul programs if my memory serves me right. Footage of the cook preparing the meals etc...
On the SN Brussels program the purser takes more than half hour to present his duties and the crews work on the flight.

Well, according to the Star Alliance website five airlines founded the Star Alliance..the sixth member was VARIG, and apparently Ansett Australia and Air New Zealand joined at the same time, so technically they both would be the 7th member..but since Ansett is no longer with us, I'm gonna guess the new WAR DVD will feature Air New Zealand!

That would be really cool, also a good possibility since Justplanes did a DVD on Freedom Air a few years back which was part of Air NZ so they already have a previously existing relationship.

Quoting JustPlanes (Reply 44):
The next airline joining is the 9th member of one of the airline alliances and by that I mean that we have already featured 8 airlines of that alliance in the series.

yes as guessed above it is a member airline of the Star Alliance group...

So far the 8 Star Alliance videos JustPlanes has covered are Lufthansa, United, Varig, Austrian, Spanair, South African, Swiss and Turkish Airways - I think thats the 8th one.

So that leaves:
AC - Unlikely
SK - Even chance
TG - Even chance
NZ - Even chance
NH - Even chance
SQ - Highly unlikely
BD - Even chance
OZ - Even chance
LO - Even chance
US - Highly unlikely
CA - Not a chance
FM - Highly unlikely
MS - Highly unlikely
TP - Even chance

Without knowing the relationship JustPlanes has with those airlines, I would say that SK, BD and LO are possibilities since they normally cover a lot of European airlines. The Asian airlines like TG, NH and OZ are hard to guess since JP hasn't been in that area too much but they probably a bit more unlikely than the others. I'm going to go with either SK or NZ.
