Best AI Traffic Downloads/programs

Fri Nov 06, 2009 11:01 pm

I'm looking for a good quality AI traffic program for my FS9. Ideally, i'd like to have the new Delta scheme, post-NWA merger; and the new US Airways scheme, post America West merger. Basically, all i'm able to find are old/outdated AI programs/downloads that have the airline liveries of around 2003/2004.

I'd even be willing to pay for an up-to-date, accurate AI traffic program, but can't seem to find any.

Your help and suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

Dunno if you've checked them out already, but world of ai is the best IMO and the timetables and liveries get updated rather frequently for the most part

I have every one of their packages.

Hardly available at present. The merger has not yet been completed, aircraft are being repainted, their assignments are being changed.
My advice: Download both the WoAI Delta (pretty much up to date, many a/c in n/c) and NWA pack ( http://world-of-ai.com/allpackages.php ). I'm sure they will mix those two packages at a later stage when flightplans become available. You can still change those liveries with additional downloads for Avsim and others.

Also to be had from WoAI, I have this pack installed and everything is in US Airways colors, no more HP (sadly, though). The only thing that has been revised since then is their callsign. It used to be US Air, in the meantime it has been changed to Cactus, as part of the deal.
You would have to change that yourself or wait for a new version to be issued. Don't know when this is going to happen, though.

World of AI is completely free, and still fairly accurate. I think this is the best you can have at the moment.

Thanks for your comments; I had not heard of World of AI! Looks to be the best one out there!

Thats where I would start but I would also add to that and say that Traffic Tools v2.02 is a free utility that you can use to great your own AI traffic. I have done it a few times to great routes that I wanted. It is pretty easy to learn the code as it is very basic. For starters you can just move aircraft around but later you can start to create your own AI traffic.

The professional AI packages ( UT2, MyTraffic ) have completely switched over to FSX since many years now, on a multicore CPU FSX can handle far more shiny high resolution AI aircraft than FS9 can handle low resoultion aircraft on the same hardware. So indeed WOAI is the best offer for FS9 - if you can afford to give away so many frames for a rather limited amount of traffic.
