Aer Lingus Rudder Skins?

Fri Dec 18, 2009 4:34 am

I just recently cut up the last of EI-BED's rudders, the alloy ribs are going to the scraper but the composite skins are available if I want them...if any interest for collectors please let me know asap. I will cut them into "12x18" panels and supply photo of the aircraft parked in Dublin...EI-BED was one of three 747's that the airline had..this one originally from Boeing served with Lufhtansa for 9 years then was taken in by AerLingus. She served 101,000 hours flying all over the globe. The skins are in incredibly good condition, I will have to cut, sand edges, and buff out oxidized green and white paint. Some will have metallic access door on them. I will charge a fee...easily manigable by all but they make a fine "flown " artifact for the collector....Jerry
