Does anyone know if there will be a LAX Airliners show in June 2010?

Interesting, the website still says January 23rd, 2010 but I do recall seeing signs saying there would be one in June but I just don't remember the exact date. They also said they would be moving it too from the Hacienda Hotel to, I believe, the one just off of Imperial Hwy that parallels the airport, I don't know the name.

I heard rumors last year that they were looking at moving it to one of the Embassy Suites hotels. Aren't there two of them at LAX?

I hope the LAX Airliners show doesn't fall on a Thursday. Hopefully, it's actually on the 19th of June.

The schedule I received from the LAX show earlier this year shows the following:

3/13/2010 - San Francisco Grosvenor Best Western
4/24/2010 - Dallas Hilton Garden Inn
5/1/2010 - Chicago Holiday Inn/ElkGrove Vlg
6/19/2010 - Los Angeles Embassy Suites
New York/Newark AIRLINERS INTERNATIONAL Robt Treat Hotel
9/25/2010 - San Francisco Grosvenor Best Western
10/2/2010 - Atlanta Delta Air Transp Heritage Museum
10/9/2010 - Seattle Museum of Flight

I have the flyer for 2010 with more details for the year's shows. If anyone needs a copy, just shoot me a message and I'll fire a copy off to you.

I'm glad to hear the show has been moved to the Embassy Suites, because the Embassy Suites is a much shorter walk to the Imperial Hill than the Hacienda.

Hopefully, the "June Gloom" will burn off quickly the day of the show, so the spotting from Imperial Hill will be great!

Do these shows tend to have trade stalls from aviation hobby shops?

There will be some aviation hobby shops and collectors looking to clear out some of their collections.
The LAX show tends to be one of the bigger ones outside of the Airliners International show.
It is definitely worth a look if your going to be in the area.

I might if I can. I'm going to be very very busy travelling over the next 3 weeks, between Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, and Charlotte. Though it's not on the weekend, I'm guaranteed to be exhausted. Time will tell. I scored heavily on some Braniff materials on the last show earlier this year.

I got a safety card, and a 747SP. Give me a shout if you're coming, and at one time.. would be nice to meet a fellow BN enthusiast!

It's a place where collectors and others go to sell aviation memorabillia and models.

Just got back. Looked like a pretty full show, lots of models and die-cast as well as slides/photos. Not too many people selling safeties, which is sad because that's primarily why I went. However, I still picked up a few things I hadn't been able to find and had some good conversations, so all in all a good show!

If any of you are in the area, I recommend checking it out before 3pm today.

Went today; Very disappointed with this year. As always, got a good price from a guy I always buy stuff from, but other than that, there WAS NOTHING I really wanted there. There was some nice stuff, but, I don't like spending money, so, if I don't love it, I wont buy it. Like Americawest above, I went also to buy some safties which where pretty much nonexistent. I only came away with 2 models, a Tower 74 and a BOAC 74.

It took some digging, but I found an America West DHC-8, an America West 757, and 3 America West 757 EOW cards that I had been looking for. I got them from the gentleman in the back left corner. Did anyone catch his name or perhaps know how to contact him? I later realized that I did not have a couple of the things that I saw in his stacks and I'd like to grab a few more things from him.

This was my first airliner expo, so even being able to find those 5 cards exceeded my expectations. People generally do not care too much about America West memorabilia, so it's tough to find cards that aren't the same 10-12 that keep popping up.

I know who you are talking about, but I don't know his name... Come to the next show, early next year, and you might find something you want from the same guy....

I missed this last one, but made the one earlier this year. I'm hoping to complete my SWA timetable collection by the end of 2011..
