Project Opensky ERJ140/45 Help!

Wed Jun 16, 2010 3:35 am

I am using FS2004

I downloaded the ERJ145 in delta, american, continental, and united colors from the Project Opensky Website.

When I have a cruising altitude higher than FL230 the autopilot won't level the aircraft off at the assigned altitude, and will continue to climb with a nose up attitude of 2-3 degrees. The POSKY support forums aren't being incredibly helpful at the moment, so I figured someone here might know something. Any solutions/theories are welcome!

That's annoying. I had a POSKY A340 go nuts on me for no reason before. Could it be somethin to do with how payload & fuel are loaded, centre of gravity? Although the models are beautiful, they are know to have some flight characteristic issues.

It can't be fuel or payload. I make sure I'm not overweight before each flight. Project Opensky does have good models, but when something goes wrong, the designers seem to have no idea how to fix it.

sorry i can't fully remember what i did to fix mine but if you go into the air file and scroll all the way down to the autopilot setting i think the "max pitch high alt" is set too low. compare with an air file of a plane that you know works but i'm pretty sure that's the one i changed and now it levels off like normal
